Is TypeKey the Patriot Act of blogging?

http://weblog.burningbird.net/fires/technology/typekey_the_patriot_act_of_weblogging.htm "With a centralized authentication system for comments, a person can be tracked by their comments wherever they go, even if they don't want to be so tracked. Six Apart says they would never share this information with anyone. I don't care -- the potential for abuse is there." Posted by mowabb at March 21, 2004 10:10 PM | TrackBack

I think the TypeKey concept sounds great - thanks for the link! I don't understand the paranoia about a service whose goal is essentially moderation and anti-SPAM. Aren't those good things?
