i hate to say i told you so

Now, this is probably not the time or the place to be saying this, but I'd still like to know: if you voted for Ralph Nader, do you still think that Bush and Gore are the same? How would the last two years have been different if Gore had been elected president?

Rabble-rouser.

Oh yeah, tweedledee and tweedledum. Politicians are all alike, blah blah blah. I know I made noises like that. I admit I was wrong. So wrong. I never dreamed how wrong I could be. You might enjoy this little article which argues that Yubbledew is the worst president ever. I wouldn't contest that diagnosis.

So where's this question coming from, anyway? And do you think I sold out?

it's just that i (as the person in the household not on a news fast) have been reading the papers and find myself not only frustrated with the gov't, but the media's slavering zeal to be a part of the party (even the s.f. chronicle). i can't say that gore isn't a self-serving pol just like g.w., but i don't really see him as the megalomaniac that g.w. is. this question comes out of pure anger that everything could have been different if only...if only the florida voters hadn't given in to their consciences and voted for the hopeful third party. i might have done so too, but i was just too nervous. so i don't think it was bad to vote for nader, just unfortunate that the g.d. election turned out to be so close (and especially in a state governed by jeb bush--see the latest Ted Rall for a little bitty about that).

but do i think you've sold out? i wasn't thinking anything of the sort. do you think you have? more on this, please.
