Podcasting w/a Superhero:

Friday Fun: Check out the latest edition of Ambivalent Voices, where Energy Spatula of Will Work for Favorable Dicta tells us all about:
  • How to prevent drunk dialing.
  • Drunk podcasting—the future of blogging.
  • Saving parents the trouble of teaching their kids about the birds and the bees.
  • Babysitting as birth control.
  • Cabana Boys!
Thanks Energy Spatula! You make podcasting fun! Technotes: This podcast was recorded by phone via Slapcast.com—just call an 800-number, record a message, and publish the mp3 to the web! It doesn't get much easier than that. Like last time, I added bumpers via Garageband and compressed the mp3 in ITunes. Apologies for the sound quality in places. Trying to keep the file size down means quality suffers. Did I mention that this is all still a “wicked dorky” experiment? Is it true that dorks have the most fun? We can't all be superheroes, but we can all use a telephone, right?

Nice! Now I have a voice to go along with the name Energy Spatula. I didn't expect her to sound like that, but I am not suprised. She sounds like someone who is fun to be around, which is the same way she comes across on her blog.

I second everything JR said. I was anti-podcasting until this one. Nicely done.

Wow, you landed the first interview! Watch out, Barbra Walters!

Are you sure you want to be an attorney? It looks like you are having too much fun with blogging and all the technology associated with blogging. Maybe you missed your calling? Although I am not sure how you make money with a blog and podcasting.

Oh, do me, do me!!! I mean, you know, interview me. ;)

The Haas Blog - do you mean me or AI? Believe me, I KNOW I missed my calling and am at least 50% sure I may not want to be an attorney...or at least not an attorney in any traditional sense.

When E.Spat comes in town this summer, can we all get together and drunk podcast?

Posted by: Law-Rah at March 7, 2005 12:41 PM

AI, but glad you gave your opinion too!

Soup: Thanks! Might we look forward to an E.Spat-Soup cooperative effort sometime soon?

Law-Rah: Absolutely! Of course, I'm sure E.Spat will have a full schedule of social activities, but maybe if we're nice to her she'll be able to squeeze us in for a drink or two. I'm sure barroom podcasting has a bright future. Speaking of podcasting, when are you going to wade into the waters again?

Haas: Um, can I plead the Fifth? But as you mention, there's just no money in this blogging thing, and something tells me The Access Group (to which I have already dedicatd my left arm, my right leg, and six of my firstborn children) will not understand when I tell them I can't be a lawyer and repay my loans because my blog is just too much fun. If I'm missing something here, though, please let me know!
