A police SUV drove recklessly through wandering crowds on Penn Ave. The guards inside the guard station in front of this SUV apparently have a remote control to raise and lower four of the stanchions (the poles that stick up from the ground to block traffic from entering Penn Ave) so that vehicles like this can get through. Kind of cool. I don't see why that guard building needs to be staffed by 4-5 people as it was last night, but hey, I'm not in charge, am I?
That's all, folks. I hope to have more shots tomorrow from my adventures at the inauguration itself, today. I don't expect it will be that exciting, but we'll see...
