A 1L in NYC feels your pain! Imagine doing all of this exam prep PLUS moot court tryouts and journal writing competitions.

now THAT is good times.

good luck!

Yes. Finals suck.

If it makes you feel any better at all, I already had TWO sets of finals this year, and I have another set in June before my summer can start. And also I'm pulling for you!

I'm making myself hold back from calling family and friends this weekend because it will all be whining. The truth is, non-law people don't really understand why it's so hard--my family assumes that since I've always done well in school, my stress now is just self-absorbed perfectionism. They don't get that the curve has thrown smarter and harder-working people than me to the bottom of the heap. Law people don't want to listen to me whine either, because they want to whine themselves. It becomes a big whine-off, where we're each trying to out-do one another as to who is farther behind, whose outline is worse, who has the harder professors, who gets Civ Pro less, etc. Not healthy.

On a related note--you know it's going to be a bad day when you pack not only lunch but also dinner to take with you to the library.

what's really disturbing is that you, if you're anything like me, deep down still really enjoy law school. Ouch.

And to that I can only add: whine.

Goodness -- why isn't your whining in IRAC form?
