Hey, look! If you squint hard and have a really active imagination you can see the back of the VIP viewing stand at the end of this road. This is about three blocks from the White House, which is as close as the counter-inaugural parade could get. We stood here and shouted "this is what democracy looks like" (pointing to selves), "that is what hypocrisy looks like" (pointing toward White House).
Oh, the peoples in yellow were "Scout volunteers" who were supposed to answer peoples' questions. The few I spoke to seemed clueless, but they all got nice "inaugural volunteer" sock caps out of the deal. Was this some sort of subtle effort to jab at the Dean campaign's use of distinctive sock caps in Iowa?
