MPRE?

Now that I'm finished with my rant: If you also still must take the MPRE, note that the next test date is November 4th, registration deadline is Sept. 27th, and the cost is $55.

Now can someone tell me how I'm supposed to study for this thing? Isn't there some BarBri prep deal?

And what's with this MBE, MEE, and MPT business? Are there other tests I still need to worry about besides the bar exam, or am I correct in assuming that these tests will just be folded into the regular bar exam if your state requires them?

Thank you in advance for helping to reduce my cluelessness.

BarBri offers a one day MPRE prep class, complete with workbook. If you've already signed up for BarBri, then the class is free. If you haven't signed up, then you'll have to put down a deposite before taking the class. At least that was my experience in Georgia last year.

As for the bar exam, the MBE is the multiple choice portion of the bar exam. The MPT is the practical lawyer skills portion of the bar exam. And I have no idea what the MEE is.. maybe Georgia doesn't have that.

I am taking it in Nov. too -- the fun, the fun.

I'm also taking it in November. Most of the people I know who have already taken it took the free Bar Bri course and just kind of looked over the materials that come with that course and did fine.

What's the MEE? I'm all graduated and such and have taken the Bar, and I've never heard of the MEE.

I took the MPRE in August, after the one-day BarBri prep course. The prep was useful, but the test was frustrating - mostly trick questions, lots of two correct answer situations, etc.

Good luck.

Not to urge you to live life on the edge, but I don't remember doing any serious prep for the MPRE. Compared to the bar it's a walk.

The MPRE is cake. CAKE!

I still want to know what the MEE is!

MEE: Multistate Essay Examination. It looks like it's only required in about 18 states.
